The Sierra Rayn Children’s Neuroblastoma Foundation
The Sierra Rayn Children’s Neuroblastoma Foundation is a 501c3, non-profit foundation, committed to finding a cure for Neuroblastoma through research, education, awareness and advocacy. We hope to educate the public about this very aggressive and painful disease, that is dramatically lacking in awareness and funding.
The Sierra Rayn Foundation was created in 2010 by the family and friends of Sierra Rayn Chamblee, who was diagnosed with stage IV Neuroblastoma at 21 months. Sierra battled with such courage for 11 months, but lost the fight. One brave child motivated us to make a difference for families affected by a life- threatening disease that is unknown to many. Sierra fought so hard, and smiled through it all. No child should have to learn to smile through such horrible pain.
Sierra’s mission: to help fund preventative measures to detect Neuroblastoma early and find a cure to end this vicious disease. Through the generous donations of the business community, families and friends, we hope to create support groups for families & children, help those families financially, support research, educate the public and drive greater awareness – and funding – for this cancer that affects hundreds and hundreds of children each year.
Sierra Rayn attracted and educated thousands of people in her 11 month battle, imagine what could be accomplished with this disease if we had the knowledge, the directed funding and the research: the end of Neuroblastoma cancer.
